Indian luxury manufacturer Felis onca (JLR) has the same it'll solely manufacture electrical cars from 2025 and can reconstitute its operations within Britain.

"By 2039, it will be a zero-carbon company," Jaguar said.

According to the statement, "the company's infrastructure in the UK will be reduced and restructured."

However, it is not clear if there are any plans to cut jobs during the restructuring.

Meanwhile, the company plans to invest  3.5 billion annually in 2024 with plans to launch its first fully electric Land Rover car.

"Under the new project, the company will electrify the Land Rover and Jaguar brands separately with unique architectures," the statement added.

Regarding the zero-carbon emissions project, the company said it was "continuing to rely on clean cell fuel power technology".

Preparations to bring early vehicles to the UK's roads over the next 12 months are also part of a long-term investment plan, according to the statement.

JLR India is owned by Tata Motors, part of a larger business group, Tata.

"JLR will ensure close collaboration with Tata Group companies to advance research, sustainability, and next-generation technology, data, and software development to reduce carbon emissions," the statement said.

It may be recalled that in 2008, Indian company Tata bought Jaguar and Land Rover foreign brands for  2.3 billion.
